How Could You Be So Heartless? (Open)

The sound of thunder boomed over head warning all animals that one of those rare storms was coming.This sound was a warning to take cover,if you could find it.The fields were scarce and it was hard to find shelter if a storm did happen to come.The small female cat stopped her pointless pacing to look up at the sky.Her orange eyes narrowed as she continued to stare up at darkened sky.She lowered her head again and continued her pacing again.Again the thunder boomed giving the animals one last warning to find some sort of shelter before the down pour began.As the first drops began to fall Konan finally stopped her pacing as her memories of when she was with her brother and Pain,oh how she missed them.The skinny female stood for awhile before finally heading to the only tree she knew of.She reached the tree in little time and with a small amount of moisture in her fur.After awhile a small feeling of exhaustion spread through her body and she made the decision to sleep the storm out.She closed her eyes and tried to ignore the single drops that got through the tree that were dripping on her.

Love,it was a strange feeling that seemed to happen to everyone far and wide no matter how much you try to outrun it.The faster you tried to run the faster it would catch you,it was like a lion and the ones who fall victim to it were it's prey.Each day it would catch another until there was only one tasty piece of meat left,it's name was pain.He knew it was watching him,waiting to show up when he least expected or when he needed it the least, in fact he had fallen victim to it long ago but he had been to stubborn to admit it.Now it was just waiting for one wrong move,a moment of weakness,and it would appear again.Pain had been trying to avoid it for some time but he couldn't ignore the fact that sat in front of him,He WAS in love with Konan,he had just been to stubborn to admit it.

"Konan"

The name seemed strange coming out of his muzzle after so long,it made him feel strange that no reply came.The hellcat quickly shook his head to clear his thoughts,he did not need her in his head right now.Then swift as a lion,love brought down it's next victim.Well it tried to bring down it's next victim,but Pain wasn't going to let it.Above lightning flashed and soon a deafening flash followed it.It was strange that the weather suddenly decided to change as his mood did.Another flash filled the sky and with it another loud boom.The last one was a warning, a warning to all the creatures who hadn't sought out shelter to do so now.Pain ignore it and continued on his way,no light drizzle was going to stop him from reaching his goal.With one last crack the rain decided it had given enough of a warning and came down from the sky.In the distance a lone tree stood,not much of a shelter but it would have to do.The rain was heavier then Pain had expected and his coat soon felt heavy and seemed to pull him down.

As he approached the tree his eyes caught a familiar color,one that stood out from the surrounding grass.As he came closer his heart almost skipped a beat,Konan.She lay in the grass with her eyes closed,probably sleeping out the storm.Above stray rain drops fell from the cracks in the tree leaves.Pain moved closer and lay beside her, moving his body to where the raindrops hit the op of his head instead of her.
